This is a brilliant opportunity for a talented and experienced Reporter /Senior Reporter/News Editor to join a fortnightly publication. The most important things about this News Editor is that they have a proven track record of breaking exclusive stories and that they are fearless when it comes to speaking with industry figures. The ideal News Editor will come from a B2B background however a local press background is also appreciated.
The Role
This is a challenging and exciting role, the News Editor will be responsible for leading and editing the News section of this fortnightly publication. The News Editor will be still be tasked with generating off diary stories, writing comment and analysis as well as working closely with the Editor on the strategy of the publication. The News Editor will also oversee two freelance Reporters; this part of the role will involve planning what pieces they will write and also editing their copy.
This News Editor will be encouraged to meet industry figures at Conferences and Events, as well as securing face to face interviews where possible. There will also be the opportunity for this News Editor to deputise for the Editor in his absence.
